Christopher S. Maciejewski is an experienced trial attorney in the firm’s Denver office with more than 20 years of practice in complex commercial, construction defect, real estate, employment, insurance, and administrative litigation matters. Chris has successfully represented governmental entities, insurance companies, construction professionals, corporations, and individuals in trials in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations. Chris is licensed to practice in Colorado state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, Illinois state courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.

Chris received a B.S. in Finance from Illinois State University, and earned his J.D. in 1994 from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the SIU Law Journal and the SIU Journal of Legal Medicine, as well as captain of the Products Liability Moot Court Team. Chris practiced law in Illinois for three years before relocating to Colorado in 1997. Since then, Chris has focused on civil trial practice with private law firms and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.

Chris served as General Counsel and Litigation Counsel to the Colorado Commissioner of Insurance and the Colorado Division of Insurance, and prosecuted administrative enforcement actions against insurance companies, agencies, and producers for violations of Colorado insurance laws. He also provided the Commissioner and the Division with interpretations of Colorado insurance laws, as well as advice on policy issues, legislation, rulemaking, and enforcement actions involving insurance companies and agents.
